Conlan Tire is a leader in commercial tire service and retread manufacturing, committed to quality and customer service. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services - AC Repair, Air Brakes, Hydraulics, etc
Perform mobile repair on trucks and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
Replacing lights
Tire replacement (mounted inventory)
Preventative maintenance / running repair / brakes / suspension

Qualification

ASE certificationHeavy truck experienceDiesel engine repairWelding experienceDiagnostic testingMechanical knowledgeWork outdoorsOwn tools

Required

Experience on heavy trucks, trailers, etc. (diagnostic testing, hydraulics, brakes, diesel engine, etc.)
MUST be ASE certified or have completed mechanic course
Must have own tools
Welding Experience
Ability to repair/diagnose all trailer/chassis/container components
1-3 years of Light/Medium/Heavy mechanic experience
Able to work in varying weather conditions
Brook Park, OH 44142: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Preferred

Diesel engine repair: 1 year
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year
