Responsibilities

Participate in a paid, 10-12-week summer program
Work on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide
Engage in assignments within Commercial, Operations, Research & Development, and Corporate finance areas
Acquire valuable skills and participate in professional development and networking opportunities
Contribute to various finance sub-function areas including Financial Analysis, Budgets, Plans and Forecasts, Reporting & Controls, and Manufacturing Operations Accounting
Be considered for the Finance Development Program (FDP) upon successful completion of the internship

Required

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2028
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with AbbVie
Progress towards successfully completing at least three accounting courses (each with 3 credit hours) by the time of graduation, with one of the courses being focused on cost or managerial accounting
Demonstrated utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in academic and/or professional settings
Demonstrated leadership experience within a school or student organization setting
Must submit unofficial or official transcript at time of application
Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher

Preferred

Graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027 preferred
Dual major or minor in a related field is a plus
Exposure in utilizing systems and tools to visualize and present data in a meaningful way
Exposure to data analysis and ability to perform robust analytics and predictive modeling
Completion of an accredited Excel or data visualization tool certificate program or course
Ability to use analytical skills to innovatively solve problems
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects within a work and/or academic environment, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders
Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams, being adaptable, innovative, proactive, and maintaining high ethical standards
Previous internship or related experience
Cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
