Responsibilities

Balance mortgage pipeline exposure through the efficient execution of TBA MBS trading to offset the interest rate risk associated with hedging a mortgage pipeline
Collaborate with clients to align loan sales strategies. Execute loans sales while utilizing a best-execution strategy
Regularly review, scrub, and analyze the mortgage pipeline at a loan level to ensure maximum profitability from a pipeline level
Stay updated on secondary market trends, interest rate movements, and economic indicators that affect mortgage-backed securities (MBS) pricing. Adjust strategy as demand permits
Provide detailed reporting and analysis on loan sales, interest rate risk, profitability, hedge strategies, and investor activity
Executing Lock Desk responsibilities for clients

Required

1-2 years of experience in secondary marketing exposure and interest rate risk
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of the secondary market, loan sales, MBS structuring, and investor behavior
Attention to detail is critical
Ability to analyze large sets of data and maintain accuracy in reporting and analysis

Preferred

Excel knowledge
SQL experience
financial modeling
