Human Resources Business Partner
Soni Resources is partnering with a client near Windsor, NJ to identify a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This role partners closely with retail leadership to drive business performance through effective people strategy and involves managing a Recruiter, supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance, and identifying workforce trends and improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted HR advisor, aligning people initiatives with store-level and regional business goals
Monitor retail KPIs and workforce metrics; assess trends and elevate insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Manage and partner with a Recruiter to support retail hiring and workforce planning
Provide hands-on support for employee relations, including coaching, corrective action, investigations, and performance management
Travel to retail locations to support employee relations, leadership development, and goodwill initiatives
Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices
Drive process improvements, efficiencies, and automation with a focus on long-term scalability
Leverage HR systems and data to support informed decision-making (Workday strongly preferred)
Remain highly organized, take initiative, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Qualification
Required
Proven HRBP experience supporting retail or multi-site operations
Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret and influence store-level KPIs
Experience managing or partnering closely with recruiting teams
Solid background in employee relations, performance management, and compliance
Ability to travel regularly to retail locations
HRIS experience required (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Workday)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Self-directed, organized, and comfortable leading in a dynamic environment
Preferred
Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian employees preferred
