Business Development Representative

This role will work closely with the BDR Manager, VP of Sales, and Account Executives on core prospecting activities, focusing on lead generation and qualification.

Responsibilities
Be the first contact of SchooLinks through cold calls and emails
Generate new business opportunities to fuel company's growth
Manage your accounts, own your territory, and help maintain data integrity in Salesforce.com
Support marketing efforts by assisting in demand generation campaigns
Achieve, or exceed, weekly and monthly metrics including sales activities, meetings set, qualified leads, and new contacts prospected
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
Report (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Qualification
Required
Ability to generate new business opportunities
Experience with cold calling and emailing
Familiarity with Salesforce.com for account management
Ability to achieve or exceed sales metrics
Strong relationship-building skills
Proactive in seeking new business opportunities
Ability to report sales results effectively
Willingness to stay up-to-date with new products/services
Preferred
Experience in sales or business development
Passion for education technology
Demonstrated grit and strong work ethic
