Facilities Technician
Boom Supersonic is building the world’s fastest airliner, and they are seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure their facilities operate safely and reliably. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, performing maintenance, and supporting manufacturing operations to maintain peak performance of the facilities.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues across building systems and production-critical equipment
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to prioritize and respond to real-time facility needs
Maintain clean, organized, and high-functioning workspaces that meet Boom’s safety and quality standards
Take ownership of special projects and facility upgrades as our footprint continues to grow
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring production equipment, utilities, and shop infrastructure are always ready for build and test—compressed air, power, cooling, and material flow included
Respond directly to manufacturing-floor issues during active builds, minimizing downtime and unblocking machinists and technicians when equipment or facility constraints arise
Qualification
Required
Practical experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility support systems
Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hardware-driven environment
A proactive, service-oriented mindset—no task too small, no problem ignored
Willingness to support alternate shifts or off-hours work during critical operations or projects
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting
Excel in a high-energy, independent, and challenging work environment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
Experience supporting or maintaining CNC machines, shop equipment, or industrial facilities
Experience with precision machine maintenance such as spindle replacement, ball screw repair, hydraulic systems, or laser alignment
Familiarity with maintenance management systems for work orders, inspections, and parts tracking
Comfort using digital tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office to document work and communicate clearly
Genuine enthusiasm for Boom's mission—and pride in supporting the people building the future of supersonic flight
To conform to U.S. Government aerospace technology export regulations (ITAR and EAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
