Responsibilities
Manage monthly and quarterly consolidation packages and financial reporting to headquarters
Lead regional FP&A activities including variance analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management
Coordinate audits, tax filings, and SOX compliance
Provide guidance to subsidiary accounting teams and ensure compliance
Serve as a key bilingual liaison with Japan HQ
Perform monthly and annual closes under US-GAAP
Review and reconcile subsidiary accounting data for accuracy
Support reporting, tax filings, and audit preparation
Monitor accounting risks and implement internal control procedures
Communicate accounting processes clearly in both English and Japanese
Compile and monitor financial data from subsidiaries
Assist with consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and journal entries
Maintain organized records and support audit documentation
Support process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (for senior roles)
1–10+ years of accounting experience depending on role
Knowledge of US-GAAP
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese (senior roles)
Preferred
CPA certification (US or Japan) – for Regional Accounting Manager
Bilingual English/Japanese (all levels encouraged)
Experience in multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments
Process improvement and automation experience
