Underwrite and price new and renewal business
Strengthen relationships with wholesale partners
Collaborate with internal teams—including Loss Control, Claims, and Accounting—to drive profitable growth
Assess financials, loss history, and exposure to determine underwriting acceptability
Review submissions for accuracy
Set appropriate terms and pricing
Qualification
Required
Commercial Insurance Underwriting experience
Strong understanding of small account commercial risks
Track record of building successful relationships with either Wholesale or Retail partners
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant underwriting systems
Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Excess Casualty underwriting experience preferred; Excess & Surplus experience also considered
