Building Consultant
Halliwell is currently seeking a Building Consultant who will be responsible for scheduling inspections of damaged properties and communicating with clients. The role involves performing detailed analysis of property condition, estimating, and reporting for complex loss projects.

Responsibilities
Provide property loss insurance and claims response; manage complex assignments and client expectations
Develop the scope of work for various property loss assignments by inspecting project sites, observing and documenting existing conditions, examining blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Construction cost estimating, project management, and negotiation
Accurately and efficiently manage billings including documenting and maintaining billable hours on a time and expense basis, work in progress, and timely delivery of reporting to clients, including contractors
Qualification
Required
Experience in developing construction costs based on a defined scope of work
Proficiency with Xactimate and related products
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Products (Word and Excel)
Ability to work well on a team
Detail-oriented
Ability to understand technical drawings (e.g. blueprints) and construction and building requirements
At least 1-3 years of experience in building construction required, 3-5 years preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills
Travel required, based upon business and client needs
