Litigation Legal Assistant

LHH is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to join their Fort Lauderdale office. The role involves providing high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a fast-paced commercial litigation practice.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling commercial litigation matters
Draft, revise, and format legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
File documents electronically in Florida state and federal courts
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, and trial schedules
Coordinate service of process and subpoenas
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
Assist with discovery, including document production and responses
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or litigation legal assistant, preferably in commercial litigation
Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court filing procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal document management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in an onsite office environment
