Responsibilities
Prepare presentation materials (conceptual drawings, 3D renderings + visualization, digital 3D + physical models)
Develop and modify design + technical solutions throughout all phases of a project
Contribute to design discussions, idea generation, + design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats
Work closely with team members to complete projects on aggressive schedules by meeting deadlines within expected time + budget constraints
Generate revisions + corrections from outline mock-ups, redlined drawings + project documents
Attend client meetings to observe process + develop presentation skills
Participate in construction site visits to understand the process
Recognize conflicts that arise during construction + offer alternatives to resolve these issues
Qualification
Required
Portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in design thinking + presentation media required
Proficiency in Rhino or SketchUp + 3D rendering software required
Beginner Revit knowledge required; have at least one year recent Revit experience in an academic or professional setting. Understands how Revit works but may not have completed a project from start to finish. Has made edits to existing drawings, models, etc
Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture required
Preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
Relevant architectural experience in one of Flad's market segments preferred
Intermediate Revit knowledge preferred
Experience with real time rendering engines (Enscape, Twin Motion) to generate still animations + renderings, Augmented Reality (AR) + Virtual Reality (VR), visual scripting programs (Grasshopper + Dynamo), Adobe Creative Suite, + AutoCAD preferred
NAAB accredited professional degree or Master's degree in architecture preferred
