Interim Accounting Manager - Inventory & Cost Focus
Vaco by Highspring is seeking a temporary Accounting Manager to support a project-focused initiative in Denver, CO. This hands-on role requires expertise in inventory and cost accounting to validate and oversee accounting processes while partnering with operations and finance teams.
Responsibilities
Validate and oversee inventory and cost accounting processes , including material receipts, production order closeouts, and inventory transfers
Build and review T-accounts and confirm G/L impact
Test and validate calculations driving journal entries, including inventory costing, accruals, and production variances
Partner with operations and finance teams to identify gaps and improve processes
Support month-end close activities as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5-10 years of accounting experience in an inventory-based environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and operational accounting workflows
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a project-driven environment
Preferred
Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Supervisor, or Controller
Local candidates preferred, but strong out-of-town candidates willing to travel may be considered
