Digital Accessibility Strategy & Advisory SME
Louisiana Supreme Court is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Digital Accessibility Strategy & Advisory to support enterprise digital accessibility initiatives. The role involves providing strategic guidance, program planning support, and executive-level advisory services to develop accessibility strategies and ensure compliance with federal requirements and WCAG standards.

Responsibilities
Develop phased accessibility strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans aligned with organizational needs and compliance goals
Establish prioritization frameworks to help stakeholders sequence accessibility work based on risk, user impact, feasibility, and regulatory urgency
Support planning for enterprise-wide accessibility adoption across websites, applications, and digital assets
Provide high-level advisory support to leadership and cross-functional teams on accessibility planning, resourcing, and decision-making
Facilitate stakeholder sessions to align expectations and drive consensus around strategy, scope, sequencing, and program objectives
Serve as a trusted advisor to accessibility leads and internal champions to support long-term sustainability
Support development of implementation approaches, operating models, and resource plans to strengthen long-term accessibility program capability
Provide guidance on documentation needs, communication planning, and reporting for accessibility program activities
Collaborate with technical teams and other support roles to ensure end-to-end alignment from planning to execution
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting accessibility strategy, compliance initiatives, or enterprise digital programs
Strong knowledge of Section 508, ADA considerations, and WCAG 2.1 AA / WCAG 2.2 AA
Demonstrated ability to translate technical accessibility findings into clear, actionable roadmaps and executive-ready documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
Detail-oriented, able to work independently, proactive team player
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, communications, human-centered design, or related field
Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a fully remote position
Preferred
Accessibility certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or similar)
Experience supporting public sector programs or regulatory-driven digital compliance initiatives
Experience facilitating complex stakeholder sessions and aligning cross-functional teams
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust clearance at this location
