Environmental Engineering Intern

Ultium Cells, LLC is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution and General Motors. The Environmental Engineering Intern will assist with environmental compliance activities and support sustainability efforts while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field.

Responsibilities

Assist with environmental compliance activities related to air, water, and waste regulations
Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste management processes including documentation, inspections, and compliance preparation
Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and site assessments
Help track and analyze environmental performance data (waste reduction, energy use, water usage, emissions)
Assist with stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) activities and inspections
Support spill prevention and response planning initiatives
Help develop and update environmental procedures, reports, and training materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sustainability and continuous improvement projects
Participate in safety meetings and plant walk-throughs

Required

Pursing an Undergraduate Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
