Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily operations of detention home, community-based programs, and child advocacy center. Directly supervising Deputy Director, CAC Administrator, CARP Administrator, Administrative Supervisor, and Senior Mental Health Clinician
Ensuring programs are operating in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and statutes
Developing annual operating and capital budgets, to include development of five-year major maintenance plan as well as any additional operational funding requests
Serving as Plan Administrator and Plan Contact for the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act (VJCCCA) programs. Developing biennial plan in collaboration with team members and required stakeholders to provide a range of data-driven, evidence-informed continuum of community based juvenile justice programs, including alternatives to detention; Ensure compliance with monthly data and financial reporting requirements
Collaborating with stakeholders and partners by regularly meeting, communicating important information, problem-solving any issues, and ensuring annual MOUs or contracts are current. Partnerships and or contracts include J&DR Court judges, CSU, MHSS, Employee Medical Center, and Chesterfield County Public Schools who operate a fully accredited school within the detention home
