Responsibilities
Responsible for daily operations including daily logs of fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator
Perform housekeeping duties, basic care routes and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment
Drive a heavy equipment including, bob cat, forklift, front end loader, and Lull
Operate controls of a Stacker – Reclaimer
Operate power plant equipment in the field and in control room via DCS. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
Ensure environmental compliance in areas assigned
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years' experience with operations and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site
Preferred
Power plant experience preferred
Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements
Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing
May be required for ‘on call' support or varied schedule needs
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs
Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped ramps and work on elevated platforms
Ability to work rotating shift on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
