Responsibilities
Advise and mentor student clubs/organizations
Facilitate training for new and returning student club/organization leadership and their advisors, including student policy and procedures training and onboarding
Support club/organization leaders in goal setting, leadership transitions, conflict resolution, and club/organization development
Assist clubs/organizations with compliance, policies, risk management, and best practices for student-led groups
Provide direct supervision and strategic vision to the Student Involvement Board
Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student-led events, programs, and campus traditions
Provide guidance on event logistics, budgeting, marketing, accessibility, and risk management
Collaborate with student committees and governing bodies to provide engaging and enriching student activities
Develop leadership resources and toolkits for student clubs/organizations and the student Involvement Board
Develop leadership development metrics for the Student Involvement Board and club/organization officers
Assist with large-scale Student Life events
Collaborate with campus departments (e.g., Facilities, Campus Safety, Marketing & Communications) to support student events and clubs/organizations
Evaluate programs, student participation, and student learning outcomes
Act as the lead on all department reporting and assessment projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, event planning, hospitality, or a related field
Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, leadership development, event planning, or a related area
Strong communication skills
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and project a welcoming and supportive presence
Ability to work with student records and maintain confidentiality
Ability to thrive in a complex environment
Well-organized, self-directed, and creative
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred
Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
Understanding of Title IX, Title VI, FERPA, and other higher education regulations
Social media marketing skills
