Senior Bridge Engineer - Project Manager

As a Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager, you will lead the structural design of transportation infrastructure and provide mentorship to junior engineers while engaging with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Lead the structural design of complex and conventional transportation infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, and walls
Oversee and review engineering reports, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
Work directly with state agencies, municipalities, and design/build contractors to develop tailored solutions
Project Management or assisting a Project Manager for preparation of construction documents including plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate for projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope in accordance with the design standards (i.e., AASHTO, MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTRANS) and meeting department’s procedures
Play a key role in business development efforts, leading/assisting proposals, engaging with clients and presenting innovative solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (EAC/ABET accredited)
10+ years of structural design experience in bridges and transportation infrastructure
Licensed Professional Engineer (Maine PE or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Development of calculations using Excel and Mathcad
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, VBridge, LEAP Bridge, LPile, and more

High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence
Preferred
Master's degree is a plus
Experience with MaineDOT or MassDOT projects is highly preferred
Experience with regional, state and federal transportation agency procedures strongly preferred
