Responsibilities
Responsible for the analysis, development, implementation, and oversight of travel-related policies and procedures within the Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Financial Services
Create, maintain and review materials related to communication strategies, training plans, policies/procedures and other analysis and administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with the State’s Standardized Travel Regulations (STR), SIGMA processes, and DTMB-specific travel guidelines
Represent DTMB in statewide meetings, facilitate town hall meetings and participate in focus groups, and recommend and lead process improvement and training initiatives
Review, prepare, analyze, and submit legislatively required financial reports to both department management and the state legislature
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for DTMB Travel, providing guidance and consultation to DTMB staff and supported customer agencies including Civil Rights, Civil Service, DMVA, Veteran’s Homes, and the Governor’s Office
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
No specific type or amount of experience required for Departmental Analyst 9
One year of professional experience required for Departmental Analyst 10
Two years of professional experience required for Departmental Analyst P11, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school for Departmental Analyst 9 - 12
Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification OR Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification OR Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification OR Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification OR One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States within three business days of beginning employment
