Mitel Mivoice Business Technician

Verteks Consulting is a leading Managed Services Provider based in Central Florida, seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join their service team. This role involves working with Mitel and RingCentral voice systems to solve client challenges, design solutions, and provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

Answering Mitel service desk calls from the contact center queue
Ticket intake and triage
Ticket closing review process
Performing the weekly Mitel off-site FTP backup checks
Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets
Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages
Configure, and support Mitel MiVoice Connect (ShoreTel) systems, including servers, phones, and voice switches
Configure, and support Mitel MiVoice Business systems, including servers, phones, and voice switches
Configure, and support RingCentral phone systems, including servers, phones, and voice switches
Configure, and support Zoom Phone systems, including servers, phones, and voice switches
Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to call flow, voicemail, SIP trunks, and connectivity
Work with clients to design and deploy new call flows, hunt groups, auto attendants, and integrations
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for client environments
Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps in company systems

Required

2+ years of hands-on experience with Mitel and RingCentral systems
Strong understanding of VoIP technologies, SIP, and telephony concepts
Familiarity with networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, QoS, VPNs)
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize effectively
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (some onsite client visits required)

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) preferred
Experience with Mitel MiVoice Connect platform
Experience with Mitel MiVoice Business platform
Experience with RingCentral platform
Knowledge of WatchGuard or Ruckus solutions
Prior MSP or consulting experience
Mitel and RingCentral certifications
