Responsibilities
Lead origination and execution of tax equity investments in utility-scale, grid-connected clean energy projects
Drive the full lifecycle of tax equity transactions, from origination and rigorous due diligence through financial modeling, partnership structuring, and successful execution
Serve as the key cross-functional leader, collaborating with Energy, Tax, Controllership, Finance, and Legal teams to integrate tax credit investments with Walmart's broader corporate strategy and financial goals
Oversee and optimize a sizeable tax equity portfolio, driving risk management, performance evaluation, and optimization strategies to maximize financial returns and tax benefits for the enterprise
Act as the company's subject matter expert on tax-oriented financing structures, briefing executive leadership on market trends, risks, and new investment opportunities that advance Walmart's sustainability mission
Monitor market, policy, and technology developments to identify opportunities where tax-advantaged capital can help enable new or emerging clean energy solutions at commercial scale
Qualification
Required
Enthusiasm and passion for clean energy investing and financing
Experience with financial modeling, investment structuring and analytics, preferably but not required to be from the energy sector
Experience diligence or evaluating investments or strategic opportunities, including both quantitative and qualitative assessments
Demonstrated project management capabilities, with experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
