Responsibilities
Match invoices to payments and perform daily posting of cash receipts
Investigate past due invoices and initiate collections via phone, letters, and account statements
Research and resolve short payments, overpayments, and credit limit issues
Gather proof of delivery and obtain credit reports for new or high-risk customers
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation
Reconcile accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company accounts to the general ledger monthly
Investigate general ledger account and cost variances
Create journal vouchers for cash transactions and maintain property tax schedules
Compile and sort documents (invoices, checks) to substantiate business transactions
Work within cross-functional teams to resolve customer service or shipping issues
Prepare annual property tax returns and assist with year-end audits
Assist the receptionist with phone and lobby duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent a related field
Five (5) years of related experience and/or training
An equivalent combination of education and experience
1 year of GAAP experience
Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and write professional correspondence
Must be able to present information effectively to small groups and customers
Intermediate skills in mathematics, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
CPA certification
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Global Shop)
