The main role involves spreading, aligning, and marking materials according to cutting tickets and production requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the cutting department.

Responsibilities
Lay out and spread fabric evenly on cutting tables according to markers, ensuring correct ply count, grain, and alignment
Inspect fabric for defects, color shading, and lot variations before spreading
Label each layer or bundle as required to maintain proper identification
Assist cutters by positioning markers and ensuring all materials are ready for cutting
Handle and move fabric rolls safely to and from storage areas or spreading tables
Maintain accurate records of fabric used, remnants, and waste
Keep cutting area clean, organized, and free of obstructions
Follow safety procedures when using cutting tools, equipment, and lifting materials
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Cutting Room Leader
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of fabric types and grain direction
Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
Ability to lift and handle fabric rolls (up to 50 lbs.+)
Team-oriented with good communication and time-management skills
Willingness to follow production schedules and work in a fast-paced environment
Standing for extended periods
Repetitive lifting, bending, and reaching
Ability to handle fabric rolls and cutting tools safely
Preferred
Previous experience in fabric spreading or cutting is preferred but not required (training provided)
