Receiving Clerk

Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and delivery drivers, providing courteous and professional service
Receive, check in, and verify all merchandise deliveries to ensure accuracy against invoices and bills of lading
Supervise Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes, including vendor credits, ad displays, and schematic compliance
Manage grocery and non‑perishable inventory, including tracking shortages, transfers, and backroom stock levels
Monitor and process damaged, expired, salvageable, and donation merchandise according to company guidelines
Maintain cleanliness, organization, security, and safety of the backroom and inventory areas
Print, reconcile, and review warehouse invoices, DSD reports, and ROWSAP documentation for accuracy
Communicate inventory issues, equipment needs, and ordering concerns with Store Director and department partners
Track and maintain pallet jacks and floor equipment; report repair needs as necessary

Retail inventory and merchandising processes
Grocery and non-perishable product flow

Use of basic computer systems, including email, Excel, and store portals
Understanding of weekly ads, DSD displays, and store schematics
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to follow instructions, company policies, and safety guidelines
Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
