Event Intern
The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Event Intern to support their Events Department in executing high-profile business events. This role offers hands-on experience in event operations, sponsor relations, logistics, communications, and customer service.

Responsibilities
Assist with planning, logistics, timelines, and vendor/sponsor coordination for signature and networking events
Support behind-the-scenes event execution including check-in, registration, signage, décor preparation, room layout, and attendee flow
Conduct follow-up tasks: surveys, data entry, photo sorting, thank-you notes, and sponsor fulfillment
Maintain event files, run sheets, packing lists, and inventory
Provide customer service to members and guests at events
Represent the Chamber with professionalism, tact, and a positive attitude
Qualification
Required
Interested in event management, hospitality, business, marketing, PR, communications, or nonprofit management
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable communicating with members, sponsors, and vendors
Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & basic social media tools
Must be able to lift 15–25 lbs during event setup/breakdown
