Responsibilities
Lead all investor-facing communications, including earnings materials, investor presentations, press releases, and regulatory disclosures
Serve as a primary point of contact for investors and analysts, providing timely, accurate, and consistent responses
Partner with executive leadership to prepare for earnings calls, roadshows, conferences, panels and investor meetings
Build and sustain long-term relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and key stakeholders
Plan and organize investor calls, one-on-one meetings, site visits, and conference participation
Ensure consistent, disciplined communication regarding company performance, pipeline progress, and strategic priorities
Prepare and present financial analyses that clearly articulate Helus Pharma’s performance, outlook, and value drivers
Translate complex financial and scientific information into clear investor communications
Support executive decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and performance insights
Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within biotech and capital markets
Monitor peer performance, investor sentiment, and external factors impacting valuation
Provide insights that inform corporate positioning, investor messaging, and strategic planning
Demonstrate strong people leadership through coaching, mentoring, and development of direct reports and cross-functional partners
Model Helus Pharma’s leadership values, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance
Influence across functions without direct authority, aligning stakeholders around shared priorities and outcomes
Contribute to organizational capability building by establishing clear processes, decision frameworks, and governance for investor communications
Support change management initiatives by communicating effectively during periods of growth, transformation, or heightened visibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related scientific field such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology or Neuroscience required
6 or more years of progressive experience in biotech, life sciences, or healthcare finance
Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling, and investor communications
Experience conducting competitive and market analysis
Preferred
Advanced degree or professional certification such as MBA or CFA
Experience in one or more of the following strongly preferred: Sell-side equity research, Investment banking, Buy-side investing, Investor relations within a public company
Exposure to Corporate Communications and or Public Relations is an asset
