Responsibilities
Create acquisition case studies through detailed engineering, economic, and financial evaluations
Build comprehensive reserve profiles incorporating key financial variables to estimate asset value and acquisition targets
Interpret and analyze lease operating expense (LOE) statements with a full understanding of cost structures
Distinguish between recurring and non-recurring expenses to improve forecasting accuracy
Review marketing statements and evaluate relevant contracts related to oil and gas sales
Identify and understand field-level value-add drivers that impact asset performance and returns
Communicate effectively with third parties—asking targeted technical questions, gathering data, and integrating information into analyses
Evaluate potential portfolio divestments to support strategies that maximize full-cycle financial returns
Collaborate with investment banking partners to prepare, manage, and deliver data for portfolio property divestitures
Qualification
Required
1+ years of investment banking experience with strong references
Strong academic record, including high GPA and strong aptitude test performance
Proficiency with engineering software such as PHDWin, Aries, Enverus, and basic coding capabilities
Experience with financial/data visualization tools such as Spotfire and/or Tableau
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
