Responsibilities
Develop, test and integrate algorithms for servo pattern writing
Get general exposure to other aspects of disk drive servo operation like controls, vibration mitigation and seeking
Maintain and develop tools and processes for design and validation of algorithms, compliance to requirements metrics, and compatibility with other components
Qualification
Required
Current student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and returning to classes in Fall 2026
Emphasis on closed loop controls and signal processing
Coursework on graduate level signal processing coursework is desired
Advanced signal processing
Position control of precision equipment
Real-time embedded firmware design
Programming in embedded C, Python, and Matlab
Strong communication and technical leadership skills
Preferred
Master's or PhD level candidates preferred
