Early Career Electrical Engineer
WSP USA, Inc. is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer for their Property & Buildings Industrial CoE Systems Group in Boise, ID. In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to lead and execute electrical power components for various projects, while developing skills in electrical systems modeling and adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities
Creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, bills of material, construction cost estimates, power system studies and reports
Demonstrating willingness to learn low and medium voltage facility electrical power distribution, grounding, lightning and surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage motor control centers and switchgear, medium voltage substations, mission-critical power systems, and UPS systems
Learning, referencing, and adhering to the NEC, NFPA documents, ICC documents, energy codes, and applicable IEEE standards
Aiding design leads in creating accurate estimates of engineering effort and driving projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints
Interfacing directly with internal and external clients and traveling to vendor and client sites as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience
Ability to work with and be supported by other senior engineers for guidance
Self-starter, willing to learn electrical engineering tasks associated with the department, with oversight and mentoring from leads
Capability to communicate and work with discipline leads, PMs, and others to execute successful projects
Willingness to be mentored and take direction from mid and senior level electrical engineers and designers
Effective in prioritizing and meeting deadlines, while also adapting to change
Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross-disciplinary team members and clients
Ability to promote and market electrical scope and your skills to new and existing clients
Preferred
EIT (FE) Certificate
Successful completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) exam, with licensure pending upon years of experience prerequisite completion
Prior construction, engineering, and CAD/BIM experience
