Responsibilities

Lead and mentor an experienced team of 6-10 mechanical engineers, fostering growth and collaboration
Provide personal development for direct reports by conducting performance reviews, training, mentoring, and monitoring career development
Assign programs and projects to direct reports in a timely manner and monitor these tasks so they are completed within technical, cost, and schedule constraints
Champion continuous improvement in the design and development processes
Provide expert technical guidance and support to your team
Act as a key contributor during design reviews, validating adherence to internal standards
Execute the detailed design and analyses for products, including conceptual layout and design, dynamic performance modelling, thermal analysis, and structural analysis
Work in NX to complete 3D solid models and 2D drawings in conjunction with Teamcenter

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
7+ years of relevant technical experience, designing and/or testing electric + hydraulic actuation systems
Proven track record managing and leading engineering teams to success
Self-motivated, with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Experience interfacing with customers
Proficient communication skills, both in writing technical documentation and in public speaking presentations
Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)
Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information
