Responsibilities
Measures disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders
Compares disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications
Recommends proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures
Completes work in the pump shop
Completes work as a machinist at times
Completes write-ups and line boring or welding
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Five years' experience in the analysis of hydraulic cylinder failures and recommendation of repairs, previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components
Must be an experienced technician with a strong attention to detail
Must understand and be able to work with close tolerances
The ability to read hydraulic schematics would be helpful
Must have previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components
Must be a self-starter and work well on their own. This position would require the ability to speak with customers and vendors
