Director of Revenue Cycle (Finance Leader)

They are seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to provide operational leadership and direction to the revenue cycle team, manage revenue cycle operations, and improve patient, provider, and payer experiences.

Responsibilities

Provides the highest level of operational leadership and coordination of assigned staff members to financial analysis methodologies and standards
Provides leadership and direction to the revenue cycle team including cash operations, charge entry, payer provider enrollment, credentialing, coding, insurance, and billing; with the goal of achieving the best possible revenue cycle indicators
Manages revenue cycle operations and leads strategic revenue management initiatives to improve patient, provider, and payer experiences. Establishes short-term business plans and long-term operational objectives
Makes budgetary recommendations/proposals based on resource needs and ensures cost containment
Conducts research on emerging technologies, services, protocols/processes, and/or standards in support of financial analysis efforts. Responsible for the implementation of new protocols/procedures to address business needs
Assesses current revenue cycle operation and recommends improvements in efficiency and effectiveness
Oversees and manages all patient account activities as well as cash, insurance, and billing operations
Reviews, develops, and implements internal audit and control procedures
Works with administrative leadership to establish, track, and achieve clinic production and financial goals
Develops, reviews, and analyzes clinic system reports to improve and enhance financial and clinical operations
Oversees the analysis of financial performance in university units
Develops short-term and long-term business plans, creates policies and procedures, and analyzes past financial performance
Supervises and trains Financial Analysts to ensure application of best-practice techniques and efficiency of day-to-day operations
Prepares and presents financial analyses and recommendations to senior management
Provides expert advice on all levels of financial activity and interpretation of financial policies to Financial Analysts and senior management
Follows crucial economic, industrial, and corporate trends by analyzing financial reports; implements relevant data into the organization's financial decision-making

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
4 years in finance, financial administration, accounting, or related field
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data

Develops and delivers effective presentations
Excellent collaboration and team building skills
Ability to lead/manage others

Preferred

Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
1 year of management experience in related field
