Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and finance activities including job cost, WIP, payroll, and financial reporting
Oversee monthly and annual financial statements and cash flow
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash planning
Work directly with the bonding company on reporting and renewals
Oversee payroll operations using Paycom
Oversee & work with the HR Manager on Health Care benefits and providers
Coordinate the annual financial statement review and tax return with external CPAs
Monthly Executive meetings to review monthly close, project performance & margins
Lead and support the Controller, 2 payroll professionals, 3 project accountants and accounts payable
Oversee and optimize Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (CRE) for construction accounting
Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong understanding of financial analysis, reporting, and compliance
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor financial teams
Proven financial leadership experience in construction or electrical contracting
Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP, and project-based financials
Experience managing banking and bonding relationships
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred
Experience with Sage and Paycom preferred
CPA a plus
