Perform installation, maintenance, inspection and repair work on a water distribution, as assigned

Qualification

Class A CDLTemporary Traffic Control CertificationConstruction experienceMaintenance experienceCustomer service

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalency
1 year general construction and/or maintenance, installation, and repair experience for Utility Systems Technician I - CDL
2 years of experience in construction, maintenance, repair work and/or equipment operation including at least 1 year of municipal, commercial or industrial pipe installation for Utility Systems Technician II - CDL
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL with tank endorsement within 6 months of hire or promotion date for Utility Systems Technician I - CDL
Valid Class A CDL with tank endorsement and an acceptable driving record at time of hire or promotion for Utility Systems Technician II - CDL
Ability to obtain and maintain a Temporary Traffic Control Safety Certification within 6 months of hire or promotion date
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
