Web Developer
David James Group is seeking an experienced WordPress developer to build, support, and maintain association websites. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality digital products while ensuring design implementation and accessibility compliance.

Responsibilities
Build and customize WordPress websites that are optimized, secure, and scalable
Implement responsive, modern designs consistent with brand guidelines
Ensure all web content and features meet ADA accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+)
Provide ongoing support and maintenance (updates, troubleshooting, performance)
Collaborate with internal stakeholders — including marketing and content teams — to translate requirements into functional sites
Assist with email template creation and integrations as needed
Configure and customize integrations with Association Management Systems (AMS) or CRM tools (if applicable)
Optimize site performance and SEO best practices
Qualification
Required
Proven experience building and managing WordPress sites (themes, plugins, custom post types, builders)
Strong understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP
Familiarity with ADA / WCAG accessibility standards and implementation best practices
Experience with Bricks Builder, Etch, and ACSS
Good design sense and ability to implement layouts from mockups or style systems
Comfortable with cross-browser testing and responsive design
Experience with version control (Git) and staging workflows
Ability to communicate clearly, manage time, and work autonomously
Preferred
Experience with AMS systems (e.g., Fonteva, iMIS, Personify, YourMembership, Everest, MemberClicks, Higher Logic, GrowthZone, WildApricot)
Familiarity with email platforms (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Emma, Higher Logic Engage)
Background working with nonprofits, associations, or membership-based orgs
