Responsibilities

Prepare, edit, and format a range of transactional documents including loan agreements, financing documents, closing binders, and supporting deal materials
Build, revise, and maintain automated templates using Microsoft Word and other automation tools
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to implement document automation solutions that improve workflow and consistency
Proofread for accuracy, structure, and formatting
Troubleshoot document issues and provide advanced MS Word support
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols

Required

Prior experience in a legal environment, ideally within transactional law or real estate finance
Advanced Microsoft Word expertise —styles, templates, TOCs, cross‑references, complex formatting, track changes, etc
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
Ability to learn new tools and adapt to evolving workflows

Preferred

Experience with Contract Express, HotDocs, or similar automation platforms
Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocuments a plus)
