Responsibilities
Review utility service agreements and vendor contracts to support financial accuracy and compliance
Validate invoices and payments against contract terms, pricing, and rate structures
Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies between expected and actual costs
Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups, large data sets) to analyze and reconcile financial information
Prepare financial summaries and reporting for internal stakeholders
Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting support for assigned external customer accounts
Support process improvements and productivity initiatives, including automation of accounting workflows
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic financial analysis
Advanced Excel skills are required — this role relies heavily on Excel for data analysis and reconciliation
Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy
Ability to work independently in an on-site, fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in utilities, energy, or other regulated industries
Exposure to or experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems
Background in contract billing, cost analysis, or vendor accounting
