Director of Quality Performance Improvement
Duo Health is a medical group focused on patients with chronic kidney disease, aiming to improve health equity through their Health Mobilization™ platform. The Director of Quality Performance Improvement will create a culture of quality programs, oversee HEDIS compliance, and work collaboratively with various teams to enhance care quality and outcomes.

Responsibilities
Participate in the development of the vision and strategic direction of Quality Performance at Duo Health and work with the VP of CDI in the design and execution of the organization’s quality performance and serves as the HEDIS, STARS, CAHPS, and HOS subject matter expert
Drive Duo’s clinician engagement strategy to close gaps-in-care and improve risk scores to ensure quality improvement projects are clinically sound, care is consistent with HEDIS requirements and evidence-based care (including coding practices) and auxiliary data streams are established
Provide continuous monitoring of quality measure data (numerators and denominators), identify data irregularities, monitor the CDI Quality team and their projects
Evaluate quality measure data information and assist in establishing priorities for outreach efforts so that goals are achieved
Supervise data reporting and projects being completed by the team
Assists in the development of care team directed education regarding quality measure specification details, changes and updates
Direct and supervise outreach and activities regarding quality measures including HEDIS measures and additional measures of evidence-based clinical excellence
Ensure accuracy and compliance with all CMS guidelines regarding quality measure sets
Assist in completing medical record audits and/or retrieving medical chart reviews requested by Health Plans
Collaborate with other departments for efficient and effective processing of HEDIS material for issues and outcomes
Coordinate care with appropriate functional areas for quality measure sets compliance
Attends all meetings applicable to this position inside and outside of the organization
Analyze key information and provide written materials whenever possible
Perform assessments of data to improve overall operations and identify opportunities for provider education and optimization
Develop and support strong professional relationships with medical providers across the organization
Conduct ongoing education and training for providers on quality data sets
Assist leaders with analysis, trending, and presentation of audit / review findings, outcomes, and issues
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a healthcare or managed care setting required
3+ years of outpatient HEDIS and quality measure performance strategy and / or systems analysis experience
Perform frequently without supervision and can drive projects and problem statements
Strong analytical/quantitative skills. Background in statistics and / or data analysis is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology, disease processes and related procedures and critical thinking skills
Flourish in fast-paced environments, work independently, and can identify your own opportunities for success
Great attention to detail, are data-driven, and is tech-savvy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills
Strong ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate with coworkers and clinicians in a remote setting
It is expected that all certifications, licenses, etc. are renewed by the expiration date to remain compliant
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration or clinical license with 5+ years of clinical experience preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility, may be substituted for the stated education and experience requirements
