Floral Department Manager
Vons is part of Albertsons Companies, one of the largest food and drug retailers in the United States. The Floral Department Manager will oversee the operation of the Floral Department, ensuring exceptional customer service and quality while managing a team and driving sales and profitability.

Responsibilities
Supervise, train, schedule Floral Department personnel, and performance management
Required to manage online services such as FTD and DoorDash
Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service
Order, receive, price, and merchandise floral products, plants, and accessories
Ensure product freshness, proper conditioning, and compliance with storage guidelines
Create custom floral arrangements, corsages, bows, and seasonal displays
Monitor sales trends, seasonal promotions, and customer feedback to optimize inventory and merchandising
Manage departmental sales, gross margin, and cost objectives
Maintain accurate records, process administrative paperwork, and perform periodic inventories
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and sanitation schedules
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a Floral Department or similar retail environment
Understanding of perishability, seasonality, and proper handling of floral products
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and work in varying conditions (coolers and outdoor displays)
Basic math skills and administrative ability for scheduling and sales projections
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage people in a fast-paced environment
Creative ability for floral design and color coordination
Knowledge of merchandising procedures and floral department operations
