Responsibilities
Being an excellent business partner: you will work closely with Sourcing leaders and Merchants to create plans that contribute to the Direct Import strategy including selecting suppliers to work with, through to assuring consistent quality for our customers
Building relationships: you’ll use your influencing and leadership skills to build partnerships with suppliers, business partners and other internal customers
Making decisions: you’ll make decisions about quality from supplier approvals to clear specifications that detail our requirements
Designing, developing, and launching products: you’ll work with our internal customers Product Development and Sourcing teams to ensure we source the right product with consistent quality
Knowing your category: You’ll know your customers and suppliers better than anyone and are always thinking about what is next for the category
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in quality assurance
Experience managing multiple suppliers with quality responsibility
Ability to analyze performance, understand trends, and translate results into improvement plans
Excellent business partnering skills
Influencing and leadership skills to build partnerships with suppliers and internal customers
Decision-making skills regarding quality from supplier approvals to specifications
Experience in designing, developing, and launching products
In-depth knowledge of customer and supplier dynamics in the category
