User Experience Designer Level 2
WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking a UX/UI Designer (Level 2) to join a collaborative, mission‑focused team designing user experiences for sophisticated systems, tools, and applications. This role is ideal for a mid‑career designer who brings strong interaction design skills and experience contributing to the full lifecycle of UX design in technical environments.

Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and development of user experience workflows, interface conventions, and visual design elements
Support requirement‑gathering sessions, analyze user needs, and translate findings into experience design artifacts (wireframes, prototypes, mock‑ups, visualizations)
Participate in trade‑off discussions with engineering teams to balance usability, technical constraints, and system performance
Apply UX best practices to design intuitive interactions for tools, devices, and system interfaces
Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending new interaction patterns, design techniques, or visualization approaches
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout development and integration
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human‑Centered Design, Digital Media, or related field
10+ years of experience in UX/UI or User Experience Design
5+ years leading or contributing to full project lifecycle design within the last 10 years
Experience designing for enterprise or mission‑critical systems
Familiarity with modern UX tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, etc.)
Ability to communicate design intent clearly with engineering and product teams
Experience working in Agile or SAFe development environments
U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph
