Vice President, Legal Counsel - Global Investment Bank
Larson Maddox is a top-tier Global Investment Firm with a strong presence across investment banking, markets, and asset management. They are seeking a Vice President, Counsel to join their NYC-based legal team, where the attorney will provide legal support across the structuring, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of products within their global markets division.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate structured finance documentation, with a focus on asset‑backed lending, repurchase transactions, securitizations, and whole loan trading
Support the development, structuring, regulatory analysis, and launch of new products and business initiatives within structured finance
Serve as a key legal advisor to Business, Risk, Compliance, and other internal groups on regulatory developments and risk management relating to structured finance activities
Analyze, interpret, and advise on regulatory changes affecting structured finance businesses, and support their effective implementation
Qualification
Required
J.D. and 5+ years of experience in structured finance at a top law firm or in-house within financial services
Deep knowledge of corporate, securities, creditor, finance, and bankruptcy law, including related legal and regulatory considerations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and respond proactively to evolving business and legal needs
