Responsibilities
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence for collection matters
Prepare and send demand letters and post-judgment documentation
Track case deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and debtors
Conduct asset research and support judgment enforcement procedures
Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and databases
Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and strategy
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in collections or litigation
Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies
Strong knowledge of NJ state court procedures related to debt collection
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume legal environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced team environment
Preferred
Familiarity with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and enforcement actions
Experience with electronic court filing systems (eCourts, e-Filing)
