NEOGOV is looking for a Departmental Analyst to work in the Victims Rights/Victims Services Division of the State of Michigan. The role involves assisting victims of criminal child support cases by serving as a liaison with attorneys, answering questions, coordinating court appearances, and managing case information in various databases.

Responsibilities

Assists victims of criminal child support cases from the pre-charging stage through sentencing
Serves as the liaison between the Assistant Attorneys General and the victims
Answers questions and concerns that the victims may have, advising the victims of issues arising in the case
Coordinates court appearances, arranges transportation, and makes referrals to appropriate social services agencies
Assists in the investigation and prosecution of high profile and/or complex criminal child support cases in a victim-centered manner
Interprets and understands the criminal process
Maintains necessary information in the ACT, Legal Files, and MICES databases used to manage child support cases

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience is required
Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
