Mid, Senior LevelNeptune It Solutions LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for defining and leading the overall test strategy for complex, distributed systems. This role emphasizes test automation and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure end-to-end quality across services and APIs.

Responsibilities
Define and own the test strategy across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing
Lead test automation initiatives aligned with CI/CD pipelines
Design and implement integration tests across APIs, services, and event flows
Develop and maintain saga test coverage, including orchestration flows, state transitions, and compensating actions
Validate reliability, resiliency, and failure scenarios in distributed workflows
Collaborate with Software Engineers to embed testability and quality gates into solutions
Ensure test coverage for functional, non-functional, and integration requirements
Analyze defects, identify root causes, and recommend preventive improvements
Report quality metrics, risks, and readiness to delivery and leadership teams
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer / Test Automation Engineer
Strong background in test strategy and test automation
Experience testing distributed systems and microservices
Hands-on experience with integration and saga testing
Familiarity with API testing frameworks
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms
Familiarity with contract testing frameworks
Experience with cloud environments (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Knowledge of observability tools to support testing and troubleshooting
Exposure to performance and resiliency testing
