Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance to the control law development team and ensure that systems and software certification objectives are met at each technical gate
Develop and communicate requirements from the customer and the whole engine team, and in collaboration with the Controls System and Software teams
Lead problem solving and risk assessment activities related to the project and assist in establishing the highest standards of technical capability, quality, and teamwork within the development team
Representing the Control Law team with the customer; requirements, deliverables, and integration activities
Build and maintain a High Performance Culture across a diverse and talented team
Support planning and progress tracking for Earned Value Management support with the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of product development engineering experience, OR
Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, OR
PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
Experience with requirements management
In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred

5+ years' experience in embedded safety critical software engineering and familiar with Model based software design and simulation (Simulink or similar)
Control systems experience along with development of verification and testing frameworks
Experience working in agile software development teams
Strong development experience with cross-functional teams
Experience with the design and development of control laws for embedded systems
Understanding of DO-178C, DO-331, DO-333, and ARP-4754 objectives for developing safety critical systems
Experience with model-based design and verification on multiple platforms (model integration, testing on emulators, hardware-in-the-loop testing)
Experience with full software development lifecycle (Design to release)
Ability to present technical data to senior engineers and management
