Responsibilities
Travel throughout New York and New Jersey for site visits, project meetings, investigation layout and observation
Set up field exploration programs and coordinate with subcontractors
Conduct field inspections of construction activities, including earthwork and foundation installations
Be capable of working independently or in a team environment assisting senior geotechnical staff
Perform assignments exercising judgement in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience with MS Office and software applications
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
MS in Civil Engineering
BS in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related technical discipline required
5 years of geotechnical-related engineering experience
Must have a knowledge of soil and rock mechanics
Must be willing to travel throughout the NY/NJ area
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Local candidates are preferred
