Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank disbursements
Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting packages
Supervise accounts personnel based in Navia’s Global Resource Center (Malaysia), providing guidance, support, and performance oversight
Monitor the accounts receivable aging, ensuring timely collections and implementing escalation procedures for overdue balances
Assist the Finance Director in preparing monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow) in accordance with GAAP
Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure sound financial management
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes and tax filings
Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed to support the North American business

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a private company setting
Strong understanding of core accounting functions (AR, AP, banking) and GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, Oracle)
Self-starter with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA preferred
Experience managing or collaborating with offshore teams or direct reports preferred
