Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer
Aguirre & Fields is currently seeking a motivated Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer to join their growing Water Resources team. This role involves supporting city and municipal projects related to the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure while managing existing client relationships.

Responsibilities

Design and prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater pipeline projects
Conduct hydraulic modeling and pipeline capacity analysis
Perform site investigations and condition assessments of existing infrastructure
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance
Prepare technical reports, permitting documents, and environmental assessments
Support construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field inspections
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Mentor junior engineers in training and support staff
Maintains knowledge and subject matter expertise
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least ten (10) years of municipal water and wastewater pipeline experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Texas PE license (or the ability to obtain within six months)
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships
Ability to design safe, efficient, and effective sanitary lift stations, water plants, and wastewater treatment plants
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, computer-aided Design (CAD) software, and other relevant analytical, scientific, or monitoring software
Thorough understanding of applicable government environmental, safety regulations and permitting processes
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working on small- and large-diameter water and sewer wastewater pipelines
Experience with pipeline hydraulics and modeling experience with SWMM, WaterGEMS, InfoWater, or other relevant design software
