Responsibilities
Design and implement backend automation that integrates multiple security tools (e.g., Wiz, Jira, JFrog Xray, evidence pipelines, GitLab/GitHub, and reporting workflows)
Create new microservices when existing tools lack required integration capabilities
Extend internal Siemens security tools to support better traceability, visibility, and workflow efficiency
Automate consolidation and normalization of findings from SonarQube, Wiz, JFrog XRay, GitLab/GitHub pipelines, and other ecosystem tools
Enable automated routing, deduplication, tagging, and prioritization of findings
Build services to prepare client-ready (internal customer-ready) outputs with minimal manual effort
Implement and extend Hypersync based evidence collection mechanisms
Build automated alerting and health monitoring around failing evidence syncs
Improve the reliability and consistency of security compliance evidence gathering
Design and enhance CI/CD workflows across GitLab, GitHub (coming soon), and internal tooling
Introduce secure controls, automation, and validation steps into our build pipelines
Assist teams in adopting automation patterns that increase security and reduce manual effort
Build and maintain RESTful and event driven APIs that connect systems across our ecosystem
Interface with cloud provider APIs (primarily AWS, some Azure) for security and infrastructure automation
Develop authentication and authorization models that follow zero trust and least privilege principles
Apply secure development lifecycle principles across all automation
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional full stack or backend software development experience
Strong backend engineering skills with experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, Java)
Experience developing and deploying microservices, automation pipelines, serverless functions, or system integrations
Hands On Experience With AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM)
Kubernetes (preferably in a managed KaaS environment)
GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions
REST APIs and event driven architectures
Experience with at least several of the following: Wiz, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory & Xray, GitLab Security scanning, Splunk, Hyperproof or other GRC platforms, Internal Siemens PSS/PSSO security tooling
Strong understanding of secure development practices (SSDLC, input validation, secret handling, authz/authn patterns, etc.)
Experience integrating scanning tools and automating security workflows
Ability to design secure API integrations and backend services
Preferred
Familiarity with OT security concepts (role is 99% IT-focused)
Experience with Jira automation or Jira API integrations
Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
Familiarity with generating security analytics or dashboards (e.g., Splunk, OpenSearch)
Understanding of container security, supply-chain security, or SBOM tooling
